On September 24, 2020, a meeting of members of the International Association of Treasury Services (AIST) chaired by the Head of the Treasury of Ukraine - President of the Association Tetiana Sliuz took place by videoconference. The event was also attended by AIST Secretary General Jean-Marc Neil, Deputy Secretary General - Representative of the Treasury of Morocco Abdessamad Kasimi, Representative of the Treasury of Vietnam Huyen Vu.
It should be remind that last preparations are underway for the key event of the Association in 2020 - the meeting of the AIST General Assembly. The President of the Association and the representatives of the General Secretariat of AIST agreed on the date of the meeting of the Assembly on October 8 this year, which will be held by videoconference.
During the General Assembly, the report on the work of AIST for 2020 and the work plan of the Association for 2021 will be presented by the Secretary General of AIST Jean-Marc Neil and the President of the Association Tetiana Sliuz.
On the same day, an online seminar will be held, at which the members of the Association will share the experience of their countries in the combat against COVID-19 and its consequences, in particular the state accounting bodies that service budget funds. Ukraine, Vietnam and Morocco expressed their readiness to present their own practical experience at the seminar. This composition of speakers will provide an opportunity to learn about the implementation of treasury responsibilities in a pandemic on different continents.
Today, the AIST General Secretariat reported to the President of the Association on its full readiness to hold a meeting of the AIST General Assembly and a seminar with the participation of 29 member countries of the Association.
