On July 5, 2021, a meeting of the AIST Executive Bureau chaired by the Head of the Treasury of Ukraine - President of the Association Tetiana Sliuz was held by videoconference.
It will be recalled that the Executive Bureau of the Association in 2020-2021 works as follows: Ukraine - President; Mauritania, Togo - Vice Presidents; France, Morocco, Madagascar, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal are administrators.
The meeting was opened by the representative of the General Secretariat of the Association - Deputy Secretary-General Abdesamad Kasimi.
At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the Executive Bureau of the Association devoted time to organizational issues, in particular regarding personnel changes in the General Secretariat of the Association. Adele Lieber, a spokeswoman for the General Directorate of Public Finance of France, said that the candidacies for the post of Secretary-General of the Association had been completed and introduced Catherine Lemesle, Public Finance Administrator of the General Directorate of Public Finance of France, to the vacant post of AIST Secretary-General.
During the main part of the meeting, the members of the AIST Executive Bureau worked on agreeing on the organization and holding of the General Assembly and the Annual Symposium, which are scheduled for September 2021 in Kyiv. An important decision that will facilitate the presentation of Ukraine to the treasury community and the exchange of practical experience between financiers-members of the Association was to determine the feasibility of the above activities in the actual presence of AIST members on September 21-23 this year. The theme of the XIV Annual Symposium is: "Risk Management and Change" with two sub-themes: "Human Resources" and "Information Systems".
The members of the Executive Bureau expressed the hope that this time the epidemiological situation caused by Covid-19 will not affect on the plans of the Association.
Deputy Secretary General of the Association Abdesamad Kasimi noted the high performance of the AIST Executive Bureau and thanked the Head of the Treasury of Ukraine - President of the Association Tetiana Sliuz for ensuring the continuous work of the Association and a set of preparatory activities for the Annual Symposium and General.
Tetiana Sliuz summed up the meeting by thanking the members of the Executive Bureau for participating in the meeting, focused on the achievements of the Association under the leadership of the now former Secretary General of the Association Jean-Marc Niel, wished Catherine Lemesle inspiring and productive work. showed her support in all her endeavors.
