December 2–3, 2019 in Lomé, Togo, XIII Annual Meeting of the International Association of Treasury Services (AIST) was held, December 4 - AIST General Assembly.
Ukraine at the international event was represented by the Head of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, Tetiana Sliuz, who is the administrator and member of the AIST Executive Bureau.
As part of the symposium on Risk Management, Tetiana Sliuz gave a presentation on Public Sector Accounting Reform: Identifying Risks and Ways to Address Them.
In particular, Ukraine's experience in the field of automation (digitalization) of treasury servicing of budgets and clients, preparation and submission of reports by clients in electronic form were presented, as well as informed about completion of large-scale projects.
The transition from January 1, 2020, of Treasury bodies to the budgetary accounting of implementation of the budgets under the Public Sector Accounting Plan and the introduction of the IBAN International Bank Account Number as of January 1, 2020, which will make it possible to harmonize the Ukrainian payment space with European standards.
Representatives of the countries participating in the symposium expressed interest in the experience of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in organizing the provision of qualified trust services, namely: creation, verification and confirmation of a qualified electronic signature; formation, verification and validation of a qualified electronic signature certificate; formation, verification and confirmation of the electronic timestamp. In addition, the current regulatory framework governing the provision of qualified electronic trust services in Ukraine has aroused interest.
An important event for the State Treasury Service of Ukraine was the receipt of the right to hold the XIV Annual Symposium and the AIST General Assembly in Ukraine in September 2020 in Kyiv.
The composition of the AIST Executive Bureau has been renewed as part of the General Assembly of the International Treasury Association. President of AIST was elected Head of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine Tetiana Sliuz.
Tetiana Sliuz presented a video about the Ukraine and the State Treasury Service of Ukraine to the participants of the event and invited all colleagues - representatives of AIST member-countries and the General Secretariat of AIST to Kyiv.
The AIST General Assembly reviewed the AIST Activity Report for 2019, discussed the goals and priorities for AIST in 2020, including: topics for future events.
